Student’s Guidelines
We wish our students to have a comfortable and productive stay at the institute during their studies, which finally culminates into a successful career.
1. Student must attend at least 75% of total lectures delivered in all the subjects in a given semester.
2. Director/Principal of IMS-Bhaddal can condone shortage of attendance in emergency cases only, on the basis of merit of the case, but up to an extent of 10% only, beyond which the student will not be permitted to appear in the final exams.
3. Students are requested to required to maintain full attendance and decorum on the occasions, events and the functions of the institute.
4. Student must deposit the fee for the given semester as per the scheduled announced by the administration office.
5. Students are required to posses I-card issued to him, during his stay in the institute.
6. Student is required to maintain discipline inside and outside the classroom.
7. Students should wear the dress, which behooves the good student &gives the professional image. As a student you may be asked to wear the formal dress, as per a given occasion.
8. Students should not visit the canteen and extra curricular facilities i.e; gymnasium, common rooms while their classes are in progress.
9. Students are advised to inform their friends and relatives, who have to come to the institute to meet them, to contact reception office before meeting them.
10. Students are requested not to carry mobile phones, expensive items and large amount of cash with them inside the institute.
11. Students must switch off their mobiles while classes are in progress and should not bring them to the institute during the examination (internal and external) days.
12. Institute aims to provide world-class infrastructure and expects the students to make use of it in a diligent and caring manner and group using it, should take proper care of the infrastructural facilities.
13. Students will have to be abide by the rules framed by the university and the institute from time to time.
14. All the students' correspondence with the university has to be routed through the institute or only with the institute's permission.
15. In case of student's failure to comply with the above mentioned guidelines, the institute rules formed, for failing in his/her expected role would be applicable and student will be bound by that.
Students & Faculty involvement in Institution:
The extra curricular activities are integrated as part of the life of the students of
IMS-Bhaddal. These extra curricular activities are carried under five different clubs,
namely:
1. Academic Club
2. Sports Club
3. Cultural Club
4. Tourism Club
5. Hospitality Club
6. Disciplinary Club
These clubs function throughout the year. Each club carries on its activities as per the need of the hour. These clubs are designed as per need of the students so as to develop students of IMS-Bhaddal in total personality, by developing their interpersonal skills, communication skills, coordination skills and other related skills.
The clubs are constituted with the basic principle of providing equal opportunity and
representation to all students. The basic structure of each club is as follows:
1. Two responsible faculty members as Club Guides, head each club..
2. The role of students in each club is to organize an event and its related
activities, under the guidance of respective Club Guides.
3. The planning part of event organization, like dates of events, contents of
events, etc., is taken care by Club Guides and finally decided by Principal..
4. The implementation process, arrangement , organization or actions to be taken to make that particular event a success, is the responsibility of student representatives.
The general profile of each club is mentioned in brief below:
1. Academic Club: The academic club focuses its activities on the knowledge
development of students. This club organizes events like Quizs, Poster-making Competition,
writing theme competition, Debates, Seminars, Group Discussions, etc. The
purpose of this club is to bring the talent and potential of students in
forefront and also knowledge sharing among students.
2. Sports Club: The sports club focuses its activities on developing physical
skills of the students, by encouraging them to participate in events like
Cricket, Badminton, chess, Table-Tennis, etc. These events are held
internally as intra-college competitions as well as externally as Inter-college
competitions. The basic aim is to build confidence of the students in
themselves, besides developing team coordination skills, group
management skills etc among students.
3. Cultural Club: The Cultural Club focuses on exploring hidden talent of
students . through organizing cultural programmes such as Skits, Dance competitions, songs, etc., in a group as well as solo items. Our students are given opportunities to participate in Intra-college and Inter-college competitions. This club also organizes occasions of
national importance like Integration Day, Anti-terrorism Day etc.
4. Tourism Club: The tourism club is responsible for holding
Industrial and recreational tours. This club tries to involve
students in outdoor activities. These kinds
of tours help students to learn management skills for organizing tours.
5. Hospitality Club: The Hospitality Club is responsible for activities related
to hospitality including arranging for food and refreshments, besides learning etiquettes while welcoming the VIPs, facilitating their boarding and lodging, if required.
6. Disciplinary Club: The Disciplinary club is responsible for developing and maintaining discipline in and around the institute. The members of the club
are responsible for developing & maintaining conducive environment
during all the cultural, sports, tours and academic activities.
